The sensibilities are what makes up character, that's what stories are built from, that's what we remember most in Budweiser commercials or enriching films made by Disney! Actually, there are 7 senses...not 5. But we'll get to that in a sec...
How I got these sensibilities:
First and foremost, I'm a gentleman and a storyteller. Some people call me a producer...some people call me a creative...some people just call me a kid always growing up using story as my fuel. When I was 11 years old, I felt like a multi-athletic prodigy on his way to stardom - basketball dream, south paw all-star pitcher, and growing into a jock with middle school and adolescence right around the corner. That summer, however, things changed for better or worse. I suffered a severe aneurysm, a massive bleed to the brain, and I had to relearn everything as simple as to understand what a salt shaker was used for. Sports was my building tool to recovery, yet my sensibilities grew in a whole new journey of my life. As I recovered I began to notice I had newfound (5) senses: seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, and smelling the littlest things, wherein most cases others might have been too oblivious to notice.
Fast forward through many of years of struggle, adversity, defeat, hope, hopelessness, diversity, laughing, crying, dying, soul searching. It wasn’t until I was 26 years old that I, after being fired by Apple, Inc. and making the adventurously bold move to live in NYC, realized I had ended my story and began to learn the final 2 senses: (6) the “6th sense” feeling; and (7) fulfillment. See, it’s not about me anymore; I’ve lived, breathed, and felt the pain to triumph story already. It’s about YOU! As a producer I find unique, crazy stories and make them happen all in these sensibilities. On the other end I use the crazy things that happen to me in my so called new adventure to connect with everyone else.
I use the little stories in my life: past, present, and future to connect with people and bring out the sensibilities in life to make what difference we can.
