How Rod Dennison Shops for Swag
I am not a great shopper. This heavy feeling of anxiety and despair takes over me whenever I'm in a department store, almost to the point where it weighs me down like a bag of rocks. Thankfully for guys like me, there are a few alternative ways to shop today that don't even require stepping foot inside a shop:
1) Order online. What luxury it is to comfortably sit on your keister while your items are shipped, driven, and hand-delivered to your doorstep. However, if the items don't fit properly or if you decide they're "meh," it's up to you to get off your tuchus and out to a package drop-box... and what a pain in the ass that is!
2) Subscribe to a fashion delivery service. One of my best friends always looks so darn fashionable in his pictures. I find myself wondering, "how could he possibly make the time to regularly shop and be so stylish?" Well, he let me in on a little secret: Five Four Club. For a reasonable monthly fee, a clothing care package is "carefully curated" just for you: t-shirts, button-downs, pants -- even jackets. A dude mustn't even need to think!
3) Mom. Yep, my mom still does most of my clothes shopping for me. The silver lining is she has an excellent fashion sense. She flips through magazines and catalogs to research the latest men's styles and trends, scouts which department stores are having sales, and personally combs through their racks. There are clearly two reasons for her efforts, the first being an undying passion for fashion. The second is to make damn sure her little boy looks smokin' hot for all you single ladies out there. It truly is a labor of love! ®
